TRU Career and Experiential Learning Department (CEL) would like to better support TRU students with a wide range of disabilities (functional impacts) in transitioning from an academic setting to a career/experiential learning environment.
At this time, career/experiential Learning environments are limited to:
- Practicums/Clinical Placements
- Co-op placements
- Volunteerism
- Paid Employment
- Research Assistants
- Trades Apprenticeships
To support this population of students, we are developing an on-line interactive map (also referred to as a “deep map”) that will provide access to education, information, resources and/or services for the following groups:
- Local Employers
- TRU students
- TRU Faculty/Administrators/Staff
The map will indicate your organization/company’s location and provide a short description of the supports/services you offer. We also anticipate future opportunities to contribute stories of interest (ie. regarding a person, group and/or event).
If your company/organization would like to be represented on our interactive resource map, TRU CEL invites you to fill out our short on-line signup form. Click NEXT at the bottom of your screen to fill out the form and find out what kinds of resources we would like to include on the map.
